THE WALLFLOWERS
The Wallflowers Announce 30th Anniversary Tour for Bringing Down the Horse
The Wallflowers will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their landmark album Bringing Down the Horse with a nationwide U.S. tour kicking off April 17, 2026. The band will perform the classic album in full, in sequence. The tour will also include a performance at Stagecoach, the world’s largest country music festival.
Originally released on May 21, 1996, Bringing Down the Horse was both a critical and commercial success. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and was certified quadruple platinum, securing the band’s place in ’90s rock history. The record produced several hit singles: “6th Avenue Heartache,” which earned two Grammy nominations; “One Headlight,” which reached number one on the Billboard singles chart and won two Grammy Awards; “The Difference,” which received a Grammy nomination; and “Three Marlenas,” released as the final single in 1997.
Influenced by first-generation American songwriters such as The Band and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Wallflowers will also honor the 50th anniversary of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by performing Petty’s 1982 album Long After Dark in full on the upcoming tour.
Jakob Dylan, the band’s chief songwriter, continues to be a vital voice in American rock music. Over three decades of work, he has honored artists like Tom Petty—whom he inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002—and collaborated with musicians including Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Beck, Cat Power, Norah Jones, and Regina Spektor in the 2018 documentary Echo in the Canyon. Dylan has also contributed songs to major soundtracks, including the band’s cover of “Heroes” for the 1998 Godzilla soundtrack, “Arms of a Ghost” for NCIS: Los Angeles, and “Nothing But the Whole Wide World” for Friday Night Lights. In 2025, The Wallflowers supported Eric Clapton on his U.S. tour, following previous supporting performances for The Who and The Rolling Stones.
AARON LEE TASJAN
Over the last decade, Aaron Lee Tasjan has established himself as a standout songwriter and performer. Through five critically acclaimed albums, he’s built a loyal worldwide audience on the strength of his unique songs, passionate live shows, and indie folk grit style of storytelling and performing. Accolades for his work include a 2022 Grammy Nomination for Best American Roots Song, and several Americana Music Association Awards including International Album of the Year in 2021, Song Of The Year in 2022, and Best Emerging Artist in 2017. His most recent studio album, Stellar Evolution, was named one of the best albums of 2024 by Variety Magazine.
This year, Tasjan is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his solo debut, In the Blazes, with a special rerelease. Long beloved by fans for its blend of sharp songwriting and alt-country swagger, In the Blazes is being reissued with never-before-heard bonus material and, for the first time since 2015, pressed on vinyl. To mark the occasion, Tasjan will hit the road for a 10th anniversary solo tour, performing songs from the record alongside highlights from his ever-evolving catalog. It’s a full-circle moment for an artist who has consistently pushed boundaries while staying true to the heart of his craft.
