NATE SIB

Nate Sib doesn’t just keep up with the pace of culture; he leaps ahead of the curve at lightspeed. The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist approaches pop from an enigmatic perspective, bringing shocking irresistible and infectious anthems to life with electronic dance music energy and alternative experimentation twisted up with just the right amount of basement-born trap grit.

After piling up millions of streams and views independently and attracting Republic Records to his corner, he ambitiously endeavors to soundtrack the future with series of singles and his forthcoming debut project.

“I wanted to really present a new sound that hadn’t been done before,” he affirms. “For me, it was important to incorporate offbeat production, dubstep, and distortion into pop. I’m excited, because it feels like this style we’ve got could be up next.”

By four-years-old, he had a keyboard of his own, which he promptly taught himself how to play. He naturally sang, but he also would beatbox in order to “cope with ADHD.” Embracing a natural predilection for rhythm, his “tongue-clicking and teeth-chomping” unassumingly gave him a foundation to produce. During high school, he honed his skills on Logic Pro and Ableton. Under the influence of Justin Bieber, Skrillex, deadmau5, and Future, he wrote and recorded original music. He formally introduced himself as an artist with “Why can’t you see.” The latter organically landed a high-profile sync on EA Sports NHL 24, gaining traction on DSPs as well. Teaming up with his friend kimj, he dropped the for you EP highlighted by “down” and “wish.” He maintained this momentum with “famous” and inked a deal with Republic. In the meantime, he hit the road touring alongside childhood best friend and fellow buzzing disruptor 2hollis across Europe and the United States.

Nate ignites his next phase with the single “hold on.” Blurring genre lines, a frenetic loop twists and turns around driving glitchy claps. Flickering keys echo in tandem with his harmonies. Primed to pop off in the club or at any festival worldwide, it culminates on a climatic chorus, “I want you to be the one who gonna hold me close, baby hold on. Can’t get enough of you, I’m so stuck, is this what you want?”

“We were in the studio, and the vibe just clicked,” he recalls. “‘hold on’ was definitely born in the moment. It’s meant to be a fun song with a lot of pop energy.”

It also sounds like the start of something big.

“When people hear my music, I just want them to feel connected with it,” he leaves off. “I hope they feel like they are not alone, and they can just have fun and feel happy. I’m trying to be an inspiration to others, especially the younger generation.”
